Question: Isn’t this less than we used to pay for each scout?

Answer: Yes. The Troop previously collected $150 twice a year and used half to pay local troop operating expenses and half to pay Council registration fees. Council will now bill individuals directly for registration fees on their anniversary date.  So, when paying the lower amount of $75 today, please keep in mind this only covers local troop operating expenses, and set aside the remainder for when Council asks for your registration renewal payment. For any scout who joined before Aug 2023, the renewal payment will be due by Dec 31 of each year.  For any scout who joined after, the renewal payment will be due every 12 months after the join date.
